Top notch. Loved it, it has been a while that I was truly satisfied across the board. Don't get out here much but will try and make it a point when I can. A+

Been here a few times and it is always great. Food is a good price got the quality. I used a groupon the last time we came. It made the experience even better and was nice for a medium to high end place. A great dinner for really cheap made a perfect date night. We will def be back. I only wish they had a few lower calorie options.

First off, let me preface this by saying that I'm a vegetarian. Nonetheless, my meal was very good and highly presentable. My husband's steak was also quite good and the ambience is what you would expect of a nice steakhouse. A little pricey, but nothing outrageous. Nothing to complain about. I would eat there again sometime.

My wife and I visited for dinner recently with mixed, albeit strong results. Eleven years ago, we held our wedding reception in the back dining room of the restaurant when it was still Kruse and Muer. The food at the time was very good, especially for buffet style dining. For no real reason, we hadn't been back since. My in laws live right around the corner and swear by this place, so we decided it was worth trying again. When we were sat, we ended up in the very same table at the center of the back dining room where we sat eleven years ago. The clientele was diverse, which was nice. There was an older couple, a father and daughter, and two younger couples in the dining room with us. Being from the city and now living in Fenton, mostly all we see when we go out are middle aged white couples. This reminded me of why I like Grand Blanc. Our waiter, Adam, was very knowledgeable and had solid recommendations. We started the meal with drinks and a half dozen oysters. This is really where my only complaint comes in. Two of the six oysters were not cleaned and were still stuck to the shell. I ended up spilling the oyster liquor on my shirt in the process of eating them. I'm sure that was just a kitchen mistake. Those things happen, even in fine dining. The last oyster didn't so much taste old as just not as fresh as the others, which was disappointing. Raw oysters are one of my favorite things to eat, so I was still very happy with them. For the main course my wife had the Fettuccine Vata; a lamb and bacon pasta in a pesto cream sauce. It was quite heavy, but with those ingredients you have to expect that going in. She was only able to eat about half because of the richness, but it was satisfying. I ordered the Salmon Atacama; a grilled salmon fillet topped with a crab cake, smothered in a roasted red pepper cream sauce. Ninety percent of the time I'm a vegetarian, but my first love is seafood. I like to treat myself when we eat out. The meal was outstanding. Every single thing on the plate was perfect, down to the rice with almonds and dried cranberries. As great as the crab cake was, the cream sauce was the star of the show. I found myself scraping every bit off the plate that I could before it was taken away. I will be ordering this again. We were both stuffed and didn't have room for dessert, but when we saw the tiramisu on the dessert tray we had to split it. We could only eat about half, but we took the rest home and had it with our coffee the following morning. Overall, the service was top notch, the food was really exceptional, and the atmosphere was nice. People seem to have a problem with the prices in other reviews, but compared to other restaurants in the area with similar quality, I thought this was very reasonable. Definitely a good value when quality is considered. I'll probably stay away from the oysters next time, but we will definitely be back in the near future. Consider us new regulars.

Terrible Service!!!! Just left Lucas Chophouse, service was just awful. We sat at the bar and got ignored, finally we had to ask...yes ask the bartender if he could help us. We ordered our food, he sat the food in front of us and the just turned and walked away...excuse me! I would also like a drink sir!!! At this point we left. Oh, and by the way, we were the only ones at the bar. Left there, went to Brick Street and got treated like I was at a place that appreciate having customers!

The worst restaurant experience I've had in a long time. We must have gone on a REALLY off night since Luca's has a good reputation. But our experience was so bad that my future mom-in-law, the sweetest person I know, is going to write a complaint letter. We had dinner reservations at 7 pm for a group of 6. We were the only people waiting after about 10 minutes, and we were told by the hostess "We are just waiting for your table to open up." Then we were ignored...for FORTY minutes. We were told we could sit at the bar if we wanted to. Gee, thanks. Meanwhile, dismayed, we watched many couples and a few groups leave the restaurant. Finally, forty five minutes later, we were taken to our table (after a cursory 'sorry about the wait"). There were plenty of open tables. We ordered appetizers (which took forever) and our server did not bother to give us the house bread. The appetizers were just OK...the brie app was probably the best, but tiny for the price. After we ordered our entrees, our waitress returned 15 minutes later to tell us that they were out of the mashed potatoes. Just another snafu. Apparently the whitefish was decent. I ordered the eggplant parmesan and it was inedible. It was black and burnt on both sides. I can't believe a restaurant of this caliber would allow something like this out of their kitchen. I couldn't cut it with a knife, and had our service not been so terrible I would have asked our server to take it back. I left hungry. What was supposed to be a nice dinner ended up being an expensive, long and very not yummy meal. UPDATE: I have updated to add one star, because someone at Luca's saw this review and called my mother in law personally to apologize for our experience. So, that's a nice gesture and I'll upgrade to "Meh I've experienced better".

I'd heard good things about this restaurant from friends. So last night a good friend of mine and I had dinner here. It was amazing. Loved the atmosphere. We arrived at 9pm and didn't leave until after 10, closing time. But not once did we ever feel rushed. Our server was incredible. She was very nice and made us feel welcome. Dinner was AMAZING. We had the Filet. And we shared a Creme Brulee at the end. I am so looking forward to uor return. Thank you for a wonderful time MJ

My wife and I went to Luca's for a nice dinner out. As soon as we were seated, our waitress brought water, but then took 15 minutes to return. We flagged down the hostess who found our waitress for us. When she finally came, her attitude was "yeah, what do you want" rather than explaining the specials, asking if we wanted something other than water etc. The food took 45 minutes to arrive, even though they were not busy at all. However, the food was excellent. We commented to the hostess that the food took a long time to come, and they did offer us complimentary dessert. After dessert, we once again had to flag down a different waitress to get our bill, and then it took 10 minutes for our waitress to take it back. Overall, for the price point, they need to step up their service level considerably.

I ordered the chicken florentine, let me say it was the best thing I have eaten in years. The breaded crust on the chicken was just perfect. My only complaint is that the soup which at the time was an onion bean soup was a little on the cold side, but still enjoyed it.

This place overall was a horrible experience for me. The waiter smelled of marijuana and had a very cocky attitude, and messed up my order on 2 separate occasions. I finally got my steak that was not cheap by any means, only to find out that it was charred on the bottom when I ordered it medium-rare. The bathrooms are an experience in themselves - utterly disgusting. I nearly lost my appetite after using them before my meal. The meal in whole ended up costing be about $200. Once again, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality meal and service. The McDonald's down the street would have been a better experience, in my opinion.

Lucas is pricey, but that's fine because they deliver. I've had some of the best steak here that I've eaten in my life. I have also eaten there on off days, and the service was off, but guess what? when I complained the manager made it good. THAT's the level of service I expect from a nice restaurant. I'd highly recommend it, and when I want to eat a delicious steak, that's where I'll go. If they're offering Steak Diane, GET IT.

The food is overpriced and isn't as good as what you pay for. Also, when the bill came they wouldn't take a coupon they gave out in the mail because it was around the holidays? Probably won't be coming back as there are better/less pretentious dining options in the area.

Luca's is absolutely outstanding. Grand Blanc really needs more great restaurants like this. The steaks are absolutely perfect. The seafood is outstanding. The deserts are amazing. The bar selection is great. The service is top notch. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this place. It's a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it for a very nice dinner. I recommend leaving the kids with a sitter when you try Luca's.

If you want good food, a good selection, and excellent service then I suggest Luca's. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Genesee County. The one thing that stands out to me is........CONSISTENCY!! The good thing about this place is that it has been consistently excellent whether it is lunch, dinner, or happy hour. I've tried many different dishes from shrimp to salad to a steak sandwich and I have never been disappointed. The ambiance is very nice and did I say Great Service! They actually treat you like they appreciate your business. Luca's never disappoints.

I've always had a good dining experience coming here. Every time I come in, the service experience is top notch, from the waitresses to the hostess, other restaurants should take note. The food is equally good, I've had steaks and other specials here and they are always quality. Probably the only Thing I would change would be a bigger beer selection but maybe beer Isn't what they are trying To sell? That's just my personal taste but this place is so great in everything else I can't knock it for little Stuff.

This was the first visit here for me and my husband. We wanted an upscale/adult dining experience. Without a lot of options in the area, this appeared to be our best bet. We came on a Saturday night around 6:30pm. I expected there would be a wait and was surprised there wasn't. We were seated promptly, however the table offered was in a cluster of close tables that were all occupied, one of which had a toddler in a high hair. I asked the hostess if we could have a table in a less crowded area. Her reply was "where do you want to sit?". Not the answer I was looking for but I pointed out two other options that I could see and she told me they were being held for a reservation. She offered no assistance at all so we took the table originally offered. Having to sit next to the toddler banging on the table with his toys and squealing was a major disappointment. Ironically, the elderly next to us asked their waitress if they could be moved to a bigger table and were immediately moved to one of the tables I had pointed out to the hostess! The restaurant seemed smaller than I expected, however the layout of the tables did not provide a very intimate atmosphere. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. We were served fresh warm bread which was like a poppy seed garlic, very good. We each ordered the New York steak. It comes with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. Our steaks were each cooked exactly as ordered and everything tasted good. The meat was good quality and the zip sauce was good flavor without being overwhelming. We managed to save room for dessert. I had creme brûlée and husband ad the Boston cream cake. He said his was pretty good. I enjoyed mine almost more than the dinner. Overall I felt the food was good, no complaints. But the atmosphere and experience didn't live up to my expectations. So the price, in my opinion, was not justified.

Luca's Chophouse. After visiting Grand Blanc I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find anything up to San Diego's Restaurateurs standards and tastes in Michigan. After visiting yelp.com my choice of advertising for restaurants. I was able to find Luca's Chophouse. Ironic to say, I'm Lucas as well. HA! At first glance you wouldn't think its going to be very "amazing" upon entering the space. The host stand is very nice with an entrance like no other restaurant in Grand Blanc. One thing I must add. In the bar area... People are allowed to smoke inside? What... classless for sure. Otherwise, our server Oscar was a treat. Very respectable almost intimadated in our presences. I know that sounds cocky but he over heard the table discussing the restaurants and businesses I run in San Diego, CA. The best part about the experience is going to be the dessert. Table side service for the dessert was different. I have never had a restaurant serve dessert table side. Most would do, "Guacamole or Fresh Salsa," So seeing Banana's Foster table side for only $10 was the best experience there. I will say they do know how to cook a steak the right way. One of the things they did do right was the steak. Seasoned and flavor/cooked and prepared perfectly; Luca's Chophouse really stepped up the dining in Grand Blanc. But season your vegetables... Otherwise a great place for a family of four. Only $160/$200 with tip. A great way to end a holiday trip to Michigan. Cheers, Lucas
